Sister School Relationship and Program BenefitsMelba College and Highvale Secondary College share a partnership with the Albert Einstein Gymnasium in Ulm, Germany. As part of this partnership, students studying German in Year 11 have the opportunity to take part in an exchange program, through which Australian students play host to German exchange partners in July and then have the opportunity to go and visit Germany in late November and December, staying with the family of the exchange partner that they hosted earlier in the year.
The exchange program provides students to enrich their knowledge of German culture, and importantly, to spend four weeks immersed in the German language. Students who have taken part find that their language abilities increase dramatically, providing a nice advantage before entering Year 12. |
